The APRU Senior Staff convenes annually during the Senior Staff Meeting (SSM) to review the development and implementation of initiatives and activities where their recommendations are presented at the Annual Presidents Meeting. Working groups are sometimes formed to facilitate in-depth discussion of specific topics.

The 14th APRU Senior Staff Meeting will be hosted by the University of the Philippines from 07 to 09 September 2016 at the Crimson Resort and Spa, Mactan Island, Cebu.
